ROING, Nov 4: A training program on bamboo handicraft got underway here at AMYAA NGO Mayu-II, Roing. The program was inaugurated by Chief Manager SBI Roing in the presence of R.K Paul Chawang Secretary AMYAA, Nitya Mili District Development Manager, and Makkang Pertin Textile and Handicraft, etc.
In his short address, Secretary of AMYAA, Paul Chawang highlighted how rich Arunachal Pradesh is when it comes to natural resources and how our ancestors were dependent on traditional crafts.
He also throw light on the present scenario of the state where people are running only for government jobs while overlooking the vast entrepreneurship opportunities. He urged the participants to take advantage of such training program and take advantage of readily available natural resources for self-sustenance.
Chief Manager, SBI asked the participants to take an active role in the training and in future set up a unit in Lower Dibang Valley. He informed that the Banks are ready to provide Financial Loans to support their dreams.
District Development Manager, Nitya Mili also advised the participants to establish a unit by bringing up new innovative ideas in which AMYAA and NABARD are ready to help.
