TEZU, Dec 15: A one day training programme for street vendors on various components of DAY-NULM was organized by District Urban Development (DUDA), Tezu today here at BRC,Hall, Tezu.
Addressing the gathering, Executive Engineer Cum Member Secretary, DUDA said that the DAY-NULM is a flagship programme of the ministry of housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation to reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities.
Roles and responsibilities of town vending committee, street vendors act 2011 were among the topics discussed in detail.
