ITANAGAR, Jan 8: In view of the forthcoming simultaneous elections 2024, a five-day theme wise comprehensive training for District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) by the State Level Master Trainers (SLMTs) began on Monday at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nirvachan Bhawan, Itanagar.
The training is being imparted by State level Master Trainers who have already been trained by National Level Master Trainers at the State level as well as at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management, New Delhi.
The training aims to cover topics of district election management plan, vulnerable mapping, polling party and poll day arrangements, model code of conduct, expenditure monitoring, amendments of election acts and rules, modifications in few forms of revision and SSR, 2024, SVEEP, ERONET and IT applications, EVM and VVPAT and postal ballots. Evaluation process are being done after each training session and Certificates of participation were awarded to all the participants.
While welcoming the District Level Master Trainers, the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, Shania Kayem Mize, urged all the participants to make the most of the training by clearing all their doubts from the resource persons, in order to impart effective training to Assembly Level Master Trainers and Polling Personnel in their respective districts. A cascaded training on election processes is being organised for a peaceful conduct of Elections in the state.
