PASIGHAT, Oct  27: In a boost to tourism activities in the Siang region,  local MLA Kaling  Moyong today  launched  boating services in the majestic Siang River  for tourists and visitors at Komlighat here in the morning, as the tourist season begins with the onset of winter in the Siang Valley as well as the state. 
The MLA along with guests and visitors took the inaugural boating ride.

 “Nature has bestowed the Siang Valley with scenic beauty and splendor,” said Moyang and added that tourists and visitors to the valley also look forward to various outdoor experiences like boating and rafting, etc in the Siang Valley.
He called upon the enterprising citizens, particularly the youth, to take up and explore avenues in the tourism sector adding that tourism activities need to be taken up  to provide various experiences for tourists and visitors , which will help create employment
opportunities and also generate revenue.
Informing that the State Government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu
has given special focus to promotion of tourism sector in the State with various initiatives,  the MLA urged the youth and entrepreneurs to avail the schemes and provisions  of the State and the Central Government in the tourism sector.
The venture under the name “JJ Boating” services has been initiated by
Nong   Jamoh.  Boating services will be operational   from 10 in the
morning till 4 P.M.
