PASIGHAT, Jun 24: Mirem-Mikong-Ruksin (MMR) road communication under Ruksin subdivision has been disrupted as about thirty feet approach road of the bridge over Sille River was washed away due to torrential rainfall for the last many days.
Ruksin ADC Kabit Apang while visiting the area, Niglok Head Gaon Bura Talung Saroh appealed the visiting official for immediate restoration stating that the bridge was the lifeline of the local villages. Immediate restoration is also essential for medical emergencies, HGB isadded.
Meanwhile, East Siang Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh directed the EE (PWD) for immediate restoration. After field visit, the EE, Tani Taki informed the DC that the approach road towards Niglok site has been completely damaged and it would take at least 10 to 15 days. He asked Ruksin administration to issue travel advisory for the public not to use MMR road till connectivity is restored. DIPRO
