ITANAGAR, Apr 13: With an aim to provide all kind of welfare support to the family members serving in Arunachal Pradesh Police, wives of state top cops came together and formed Arunachal Pradesh Police Welfare Association.
Addressing a gathering here at LBS Mess, Itanagar, Dr Sushi Singh, wife of Director General, APP SBK Singh informed that initiatives taken by the wives of state top cops is need of hour for the welfare of the families of all police personnel serving in the state.
‘From top to bottom, we will work as a family in the field of education for children, health , recreation as well if need be we will also help them in establishing Self Help groups,’ stated Dr Sushi while adding that its mission is to support families of Arunachal Pradesh Police economically, emotionally and in empowering the police community. She further opined that wives of all the Superintendent of Police will head the organization as well as its activities in very district.
While speaking on the occasion, Kaming Waii, wife of Home Minister Kumar Waii appreciated the initiative taken by the wives of police serving in the state. ‘Such initiative will definitely bridge the gaps between the families of the same fraternity and help them to create more constructive environment,’ she added.
I am not from political family but in some way am connected to it and I assure to provide all possible help wherever it is needed, she asserted.
The team APPWA that includes wives SPs also presented power point presentation related to the welfare of APP families in the ongoing SP conference at PHQ.
