KHONSA, Apr 18: Intensifying the vigil over Arunachal-Assam and  Arunachal-Myanmar borders to check any infiltration in the wake of the prevailing lockdown, Tirap SP Kardak Riba along with SDPO/OC Deomali and police team on Saturday conducted patrolling exercises.
The team visited Mopaya village bordering Margherita Circle of Tinsukia district and Naitong village bordering Sonari Circle of Charaideo district of Assam and the SP had an interaction with the Rajas, GBs, Ex-Panchayat & youth leaders of both the villages.
Besides this, SP along with DSP Hq Khenwang Khetey and police team visited the Noglo village along BP 161 and Upper Chinhan village along BP 162, both bordering Myanmar and conducted similar interactions.
SP while appreciating the villagers for maintaining home quarantine, briefed them on the precautionary measures to defeat Covid-19 and requested them to remain alert and guard the porous border to foil any infiltration attempt. 
Earlier, SP visited the checkposts and outposts and refreshment items to be used during patrolling by the village youths were handed over. DIPRO
