KHONSA, Jun 5:  Based on specific input about smuggling of Opium, Tirap police arrested two persons and seized opium smeared cloth strips.
Lady constables set up Naka at Deomali and during checking one motorcycle bearing registration AR 13-5431(Yamaha FZ) driven by Mr. Yumrin Namphu and Samnoi Chucha (pillion)coming from Khonsa was intercepted. Upon searching approx 830 grams(8 strips) of suspected opium smeared cloth was recovered from their possession. The suspected opium smeared cloth was seized in presence of Executive magistrate Deomali. Both the accused have been arrested and DML PS C/NO.05/2020 U/S 18(C) registered and investigation is on.
