Khonsa, Feb 22: Tirap district got a trauma care centre and blood bank here at the General Hospital on the 34th Statehood Day which was dedicated to the people by 55-Khonsa East MLA Wanglam Sawin.
While inaugurating the twin facilities, Sawin appealed all health workers to deal with patients with good behaviour and provide them best services.
Deputy Commissioner Tirap, PN Thungon appreciated the MLA for inaugurating the facilities. DMO Dr. K. Mossang praised the DC for initiating and monitoring timely completion of the twin life-saving facilities and thanked the MLA for his cooperation.
Earlier, Statehood Day was celebrated here at Nehru Stadium where Sawin unfurled the national tricolour and took guard of honour. Extending greetings to the people of Tirap, he said all elected representatives of the district, District Administration and government agencies are committed towards development of the district so as to place it at par with its developed counterparts.
Mentioning the central and state flagship programmes, he especially appreciated the DA for conducting Sarkar Aapke Dwar camps and appealed the government employees to work with utmost dedication, sincerity and punctuality to deliver best services to the people. (DIPRO)
