Khonsa, Dec 12: The District Planning Committee, Panchayati Raj (PR) meeting was held today here at the Kamlesh Joshi Conference Hall of DC office under the chairmanship of I/c Deputy Commissioner, Tirap Jalash Pertin in connection with approval and finalization of the district's comprehensive Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for 2020-21.
The said plan was submitted by the Chairman, Interim Committee, Gram Panchayats of Tirap district which was prepared through “Peoples Plan Campaign” (PPC) that commenced from October 2 last with special Gram Sabhas being conducted in all the 56 GP headquarters as a part of the campaign. While presiding over the meeting, Pertin informed that the report has been duly approved by the Gram Panchayats through their respective Interim Committees which will now require final approval of the District Planning Committee (DPC), PR for uploading in PlanPlus software. He informed that GPDP 2020-21 has been proposed under 14th Finance Commission Grants, MGNREGA and schemes of all the line departments relating to 29 subjects listed in schedule XI as per Article 243(G) of the Constitution and also appreciated the officials for giving their best services during the PPC which will be concluded on December 31 next. He suggested the members to scrutinize the proposals keenly and make rectifications, if any, which was being presented before the house by the PTAs through a detailed Power Point Presentation for final DPC approval and urged the members to ensure that all villages are covered in the schemes/proposals.
After threadbare discussion and proper authentications, the house unanimously approved and passed GPDP 2020-21 and the Chairman DPC directed the District Facilitator and PTAs to upload the final GPDP in PlanPlus before December 31 without fail so that it could be forwarded to the Director (PR) accordingly.
