ITANAGAR, Sep 22:  Following a written FIR received of burglary and theft in a mobile shop   on 15 September last, Capital police arrested  Rajibul Islam (19 ) , Sabikul Islam (19) and Sheikh Farid (22) also of Bhipuria, Assam presently residing in Itanagar  in connection with the case.
Superintendent of Police capital region,  Tumme Amo informed that  as per the  complainant on the intervening night of  15 September last,  some unknown person had entered into his mobile shop located at City Hub Complex at Ganga Market Itanagar by breaking the brick wall and had stolen away mobile handsets, accessories, cash etc worth approximately Rs 4 lakhs. Hence, a case was registered vide case no. 253/19 u/s 457/380 IPC and SI N Nishant was endorsed for investigation.
During investigation, sources were engaged and on 21 September information was received that some unknown non-APST persons were approaching mobile shops at Gandhi Market, Bank Tinali and Ganga Market asking for selling mobile & accessories in large quantities.
Accordingly, traps were laid and late Saturday afternoon, a team  apprehended one Sabikul Islam  of Bangalmara, Bhipuria Assam presently residing at Chimpu, Itanagar and on his disclosure and confession, recovered 14 mobile handsets, 7 dummy mobile and 178  mobile screen touch plates from his rented room at Chimpu, Itanagar.
Later on, two more accomplices, namely Rajibul Islam and Sheikh Farid  also of Bhipuria, Assam presently residing at Itanagar were also arrested.
From their initial interrogation,  it has been revealed that the three accused persons were earlier engaged as masons/labourers by the building owner for construction of same building where they committed instant burglary as they were well acquainted with the set up. They had also gotten a mobile set repaired at the same mobile shop a day before the burglary, informed the SP.
They were produced before the  Court today and they have been remanded to six days Police custody  for further interrogation and investigation to ascertain their involvements in other cases ,added  SP Amo.
