Minister of Power (electrical), Textile, Handicraft and Industries, Tamiyo Taga has encouraged the youths to opt for cottage industries and explore the opportunities in this field without depending on the government jobs.

Citing that in the present scenario of competition, government alone cannot solve the unemployment problem which is growing day by day, Taga said it is the responsibility of younger generations to think beyond government jobs by indulging in various other business fields like industries and other economic activities to become self reliant.

 

He was addressing a valedictory function of Skill Development Programme being conducted by Arunachal Pradesh Seva Sangh (APSS) and sponsored by SJVN Hydro Electric Project at Doimukh today.

 

He  informed that government is providing logistic support in the form of subsidies and other required assistance to unemployed youths through various schemes to encourage them to set up their business and become self reliant.

 

Further the Minister also congratulated the trainees and APSS team for their successful completion of Skill Development programme conducted on Tailoring & Embroidery, Computer Hardware and advised the trainees to make best use of the knowledge gained through the training.

 

Guest of honour, Tai Kaye in his address stressed that mass awareness and wide publicity must be done about such skill development programme so that many unemployed youths can take benefit of it.

 

 

Rajesh Kumar Jagota DG(C) SJVN highlighted the purpose of training programme, Dr.  B.K Pandey Sr. Manager (Personal and Admin) highlighted on forward and backward linkage of the training programme.

Certificates and tool kits were also distributed to the trainees including a tailoring machine each under the CSR scheme of the company.
