ITANAGAR, Oct 26: A combined annual training camp for the cadets of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam was conducted by 1 Arunachal Pradesh BN NCC at Itanagar from Oct 13 to 22. The camp was conducted with an aim to develop character, comradeship, discipline and instil leadership qualities in the cadets. The same was achieved through disciplined and organized training of the cadets over a period of ten days.
The camp commenced with the opening address of the Camp Comdt Col RK Sharma who gave the complete   training schedule to the cadets.
The activities included physical training, drill, firing, indoor and outdoor classes, games and central motivational lectures by eminent speakers. To inculcate the spirit of selfless service to the society in the hours of need, lectures cum demonstrations by 12 National Disaster Relief Force team and fire fighting dept of Arunachal Pradesh was organized for the cadets.
The cadets were given motivational lectures by eminent guest speakers who included Director, RGGP, Dr A K Triphathi who motivated the cadets to participate in Nation building .Col Anup Avasthi, Commanding Officer 72 Assam girls(i) coy NCC gave a talk to  motivate the youth to join the Armed forces.
Each day of the camp started with organized physical training and Yoga followed by outdoor group activities which  included  squad drill, firing practice, tent pitching and central classes.
Small arm firing at the police range was the activity enjoyed by the cadets the most. In the evening on all days the cadets prepared for the cultural event competition which included group dances and songs on patriotic and folk themes.
The Camp culminated on 22 October with a grand cultural extravaganza which was graced by Director of Secondary Education, Gania Leij, Youth Welfare Officer 
L. Sokun Singh, Dy Director Technical and Higher Education, Triphathi ,Commanding officer 72 coy NCC ,Colonel and Anup Awasthy .The cadets put up a mesmerizing cultural show  which showcasing their folk culture with patriotic fervour.
The Cultural extravaganza culminated with prize distribution by the Director Secondary Education.
