TEZU, Jun 19:  Almost four days after a 17-year-old  girl went missing from Tezu, Lohit district, Police remain clueless about her whereabouts and the worried family members have now sought the assistance of everyone to help in locating the girl.
The 17-year-old girl identified as Dolly Wangsa disappeared from some Tezu Nalah area  of Tezu on 14th June last.
“ I left her at home before leaving for my office   around  10 am on the morning of June 14, however, when I called her from my office  she didn’t pick my call and after some time her phone was switched off,” said her elder sister. After finding her phone switched off I came back home and found that  the room was locked from outside, even I went to her school to crosscheck but she was not there, added the sister.
Further, she appealed all the people and well wisher to help the family members to trace their missing sister.
When contacted, Superintendent of Police, Lohit Dr. W Thungon  informed that as soon as they got the information a 15-member search  team has been constituted and accordingly  team has found  a bag, earphone and scarf from an isolated area of Tezu Nalah which was later identified  by the elder sister of the missing girl.
We are trying our best to locate the girl and even her phone has been placed for call detail record. Even we are taking help from fishermen of the surrounding areas where the bags and other belongings were recovered and searching all possible locations.  We have also circulated the information  to all the neighbouring districts and  states like Assam, added the SP.
