ITANAGAR, Jan 7: A team of RGU Library Book Selection Committee visited the World Book Fair 2020 currently on at the Pragati Maidan in national capital with the aim of selecting books for enriching the varsity library.
The team included Vice Chancellor Professor Saket Kushwaha, Professor-in-Charge University Library Professor P K Acharya, former University Librarian Professor Maltesh Motebennur, HoDs Physics Professor Sanjeev Kumar and Sociology Dr Bikas Bage, former Directorate General National Library Kolkata Dr PY Rajendra Kumar and University Librarian GG Vishvavidhyalay, Raipur Dr. A K Sharma. The main objective of the selection committee was to select good reference books, e-resources from various renowned publishers and aggregators of national and international repute. An idea of opening a separate community library section with an enriched collection of children and women recreational books are being contemplated by the VC, for which he personally selected some good books from reputed publishers and book vendors.
VC also released a book titled “Philosophy of Indian Culture” in 3 volumes written by Dr Diwakar, former IPS and published by Kitabwale Delhi. The fair has commenced from January 4 and will continue till January 12. RGU PR
