PASIGHAT, Jul 28: Under Ekal Vidyalaya initiatives of Ekal Abhiyan, 30 sets of teaching-learning materials were distributed to 30 Acharyas/teachers under various villages of East Siang District at Ekal Abhiyan's office today.
Ekal Abhiyan All Arunachal Bhag Ghatibidi Pramukh and over all in-Charge, Tanyi Taggu informed that similar distribution of teaching learning materials were also held at Siang, Upper Siang and West Siang districts.
In today's distribution, Mediaperson and Pasighat News Managing Editor, Maksam Tayeng who attended as Chief Guest advised the teachers and Acharyas to perform at their best with a holistic approach to impart quality education.
Ekal Abhiyan's Ekal Vidyalaya is involved in integrated & holistic development of rural & tribal India. The main activity undertaken in this movement is to run one-teacher schools (known as Ekal Vidyalayas) all over India, in the remotest rural & tribal villages to take education to every child. Children up to Class-VI are given education under Ekal Vidyalaya.
Later, a meeting of all Acharyas/teachers of Ekal Abhiyan was held at Siang Guest House. Ramesh Limboo, All Arunachal Bhag Pramukh of Ekal Abhiyan, Ajit Tanti, Primary Teacher training in-Charge Arunachal East-I and others also attended the meeting.
