ITANAGAR, Oct 22: Arunachal Teachers Association in its representation to the Education Minister has urged to retain the two existing Directors in the Education Department.
In its representation, ATA claimed that the department of Education is one of the major departments divided with two directors for Elementary Education and one for Secondary Education. Observing its vastness and responsibility, state government should reconsider the Cabinet decision to amalgamate both the Directors.
Meanwhile, in a separate memorandum, ATA also urged the Minister to relieve the teachers engaged as Booth Level Officers (BLO). Engaging teachers as BLOs immensely affects the academic activities of the school, it stated.
