The TDCC will act as the apex organisation in the district that will amicably decide all the contentious issues in the district vis-a-vis traditional practices and social issues. As a matter of fact, the age-old institution of chieftain system in the district is well known to all. It is a democratic institution that has successfully governed the village administration through the ages. The chiefs have been mandated to address all the social problems of the people through TDCC.

 

A meeting was also held at Circuit House, Khonsa and most of the Chiefs of the villages participated and in one voice, spoke for the preservation of indigenous culture and tradition.
