Roing, Jul 15: Due to incessant and torrential rain since the last few days, the rivers and streams under Dambuk Sub Division are in spate, which has affected road communications and waters inaundating a few agriculture and horticulture fields and damaging crops.
MLA Dambuk, Gum Tayeng is constantly monitoring the situation. She inspected the up stream flood protection walls of Dibang river and 10 km Bomjir area inundated by the Sisiri river on Sunday. She also visited the agricultural fields at Yapgo village area flooded by surging waters of the Sisiri river today. She was accompanied by the ADC Dambuk, EE WRD, CO Dambuk and public of the area.
Paglam circle is the worst affected and is cut off from the district headquarters. The District Administration is trying its best to mitigate the problems faced by the public by providing basic needs such as rice and bottled drinking water to the affected people.
The continuing rain is likely to come with untold problems like food crisis, health issues, drinking water scarcity etc in the days to come. The District Administration has issued necessary advisory on Dos and Dont's to be followed by the public. DIPRO
