TAWANG, Jul 4: The lone Covid-19 positive patient of Tawang district was released on Saturday here from the Covid Care Centre (CCC) after full recovery.
The patient, a 26-year old male student returnee from Delhi arrived in Tawang on May 26 and tested positive although being asymptomatic. As a precautionary measure he was shifted to the CCC and the swab tests taken at the Khandro Drowa Tsangmu District Hospital on July 2 and 3 successively showed Covid negative.
DC Sang Phuntsok handed over the discharge certificate in presence of DMO Dr. Wangdi Lama, Medical Superintendent KDS District Hospital Dr.N.Namshum and other officers. The patient was felicitated by the DC and officials present with Khada (scarf) for emerging victorious against the lethal virus.
The patient being blind, his elder sister was given instructions to ensure a strict home quarantine for further seven days along with self-monitoring for fever, cough or any other symptoms. She conveyed her gratitude to all the frontline warriors for the care and support that led
