TAWANG,  Oct 28: Chief Minister  Pema Khandu today in presence of MLA Tawang Tsering Tashi and DC Sang Phuntso  inaugurated a new dialysis unit at Khandro Drowa Tsangmu district Hospital Tawang, started under Prime Minister’s national dialysis programme(PMNDP). This unit has a capacity for five  patients and also includes  RO water treatment plant having capacity to treat 300ltrs per day.
The Chief Minister further assured that he will accord all necessary help in this regard. The dialysis unit will be free of cost and will cover two districts West Kmeng and Tawang. So far nearly 27 patients have died of renal failure and lack of dialysis unit in Tawang alone, informed  Medical Officer Incharge for NCD Dr.Sangey Thinley of district hospital Tawang.Later the CM visited and met patients in the maternity and general ward and wished them a quick recovery.
