KHARSANG, Apr 25: Moh-Mol, an annual agriculture based festival of the Tangsa community was celebrated with great pomp and traditional fervor here at Kharsang today. Hundreds of people wearing traditional attire thronged the festival ground to celebrate the festival.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Miao T.Rumi and Murali Raja, Deputy General Manager Geo Enpro attended the festival as Chief Guest and Guest of honour respectively along with numbers of other dignitaries.
Greeting the people on the festive occasion, ADC, Miao T Rumi appreciated the community for preserving its rich culture and heritage. He also advocated the young generation for protection, preservation, and propagation of age-old culture and tradition of the community.
Arunachal Pradesh is a diverse state but we are united with our culture and heritage, the Chief Guest said while adding that the community should encourage its preservation especially the local dialect in all possible manners as most of the local dialects are on verge of extinction due to modernization.
Addressing the gathering, Murali Raja, Deputy General Manager Geo Enpro assured that Geo-Enpro will always extend its support to the community and its people.
