Ziro, Jul 10: The ongoing construction works of Package-II of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Anya Gate to Pamluk has picked up momentum.
The process of pegging of self-demolished structure and dismantling of the existing structure in ROW as approved in the Strip Plan by MoRTH has been completed from Pai Gate to Lempia village under chainage 45440 to 53400. DC Swetika Sachan informed that 80% of the compensation under this package has been paid and efforts are on to clear the remaining by August 2020, in tune with the decision taken during the meeting held in the sidelines of the TAH Package I &II flag-off in February.
24.440 km out of 33.660 km earthwork up to sub-grade under Package-II from Anya Gate to Pamluk and 10.22 km out of total of 44.16 km under Package-I from Potin to Anya Gate have been completed.
After steady progress of the TAH works, the stretch of road between Pine Groove and Pamluk which was once in a deplorable condition has seen a remarkable improvement. DIPRO
