ITANAGAR, Jul 5: A team of All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu and submitted a memorandum urging for resumption of the halted eviction drive of right of way (RoW) having a length of about 30/40 meters for early and immediate completion of TAH from Chandranagar to Papu Nallah.
In a press release, the union said that the eviction drive which was carried out earlier after pressure from them was stopped midway due to reasons best known to the authorities. There is widespread discontent among people for the pathetic condition of the roads connecting the twin capital townships due to non-completion of the TAH which is also causing widespread traffic problems and resulting in inordinate delays in reaching destinations. The union has been repeatedly voicing for carrying out eviction drive and numerous memorandums have also been previously submitted.
AAPSU is of the opinion that the eviction drive along the RoW which was earlier stopped should be continued according to the norms so that TAH stretch between Chandranagar & Pappu Nallah is immediately completed. ES Newsdesk
