PANGIN, Dec 10: Minister Power Tamiyo Taga today inaugurated a school building complex at Pangkeng upper primary school under Jomlo Mobuk Circle, Siang District in presence of Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk, SP Kushal Pal Singh, DDSE Tanyong Tatak among others.
Expressing happiness on the occasion, he informed the gathering that the five room building complex was funded under SIDF 2017-18. He stated that more facilities would be provided to the school like separate toilet for girls and boys under CM Samasth Siksha Yojana. He directed the school authorities to compulsorily enroll all eligible girl children under Vidya Scheme. Stating that teachers played the most significant role in shaping a student's future, he urged all teachers to discharge their duties sincerely and dedicatedly. He advised the students to inculcate discipline and respect for their teachers and elders.
The DC in his speech informed that all measures would be taken to improve the school infrastructure and available funds would be utilised on priority by earmarking the major part of it on vital sectors like education,  health etc.
Earlier during the day, the Minister laid the foundation stone at Jomlo- Bari for 3.92 kms of PMGSY road connecting Jomlo-Bari to Jomlo-Mobuk village. He also laid the foundation stone for 24.72 kms of PMGSY road connecting Pangkeng to Bingung village via Sipeng village. Terming the occasion as auspicious, he informed the gathering about the government's efforts to bring about intra-district connectivity by connecting villages without roads.
