Itanagar, Nov 20: Zonal qualifiers of the 18th Tadar Tang State Level Football are underway with Zone 1, 2 & 3 matches played today.
Debutants Pakke Kessang and Tawang lost their respective matches. Host East Kameng registered a narrow 2-1 win against Pakke Kessang in the inaugural match of Zone-1 played today at Seppa. Omak Dawe and June Dodum scored each goal for the host. While,Karu Natung scored one for Pakke Kessang. Tawang was defeated by West Kameng 0-3 in the second match. Pempa Tsering of W/Kameng became the first player to score a hattrick in the current edition of the tournament. Inaugural match was witnessed by ADC, East Kameng Gaurav Singh Rajawat and Secretary, APFA Kipa Ajay along with dignities from government and communities. In Zone 2 matches, Capital Complex FA defeated Papum Pare 2-1 in the inaugural match played at SLSA Ground, Chimpu. Nabam Peri scored both goals for CCFA while Avinash Kharel scored the lone goal for later. In the inaugural match of Zone-3 played at Daporijo, Kra Daadi registered 1-0 win against Kurung Kumey. Takam Kakum of the winning side scored the all-important goal to clinch a crucial win for his team. Second match was played between host Upper Subansiri and Kamle which ended in a goalless draw.
Tomorrow’s matches will be: Zone-1: Tawang vs East Kameng & West Kameng vs Pakke Kessang. Zone 2: Lower Subansiri vs Papum Pare and Zone 3: Kurung Kumey vs Kamle & Kra Daadi vs Upper Subansiri. APFA PR
