Itanagar, Sep 9: The Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) organized its 3rd IFCSAP Ratna Award function in befitting manner here at the Banquet Hall on September 7 last.
The award is conferred to prominent Arunachalees who contribute towards preservation, protection & promotion of indigenous faith and cultural heritages of the state. This year’s IFCSAP Ratna Award was conferred to former President IFCSAP Taba Hare for his dedicated service to the cause of preservation of indigenous identity of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. The award was given away by Minister, Sports & Youth Affairs and Water Resources Mama Natung and MLA, 29th Basar Assembly Constituency Gokar Basar who were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
Besides the Ratna Award, IFCSAP also felicitated eight outstanding personalities who achieved various prestigious awards in national and state level. They were Secretary General, Central Donyi Polo Yelam Kebang(CDPYK) Tajom Tasung, President Women Wing, IFCSAP West Siang District Unit Yayum Gangkak, Treasurer IFCSAP Mirnia Game, Former President IFCSAP Y.D. Thongchi, President, IFCSAP West Kameng District Unit Miali Sidisaw, Cultural Secretary, Delong Padung, President Women Wing IFCSAP Maya Murtem and Secretary General, Rangfraa Faith Promotion Society (RFPS) Latsam Khimhun.
Traditional devotional dances were presented by Donyi-Polo Kumko, Chimpu and Kargu Gamgi, Itanagar. President IFCSAP, Tajom Tasung appealed all for participating in the upcoming 6th IFCSAP Youth Festival to be held from November 8-12 next at Basar in Lepa Rada district.
