BOMDILA, Apr 12: Prompt action by Bomdila Police on Saturday last averted a burglary in a mobile shop and ATM booth in the Bazar Line here in township.
Late night at around 1.30 am, acting on information inputs from a reliable source, OC PS Bomdila SI K. Dev and his team rushed to the spot immediately and found one miscreant attempting to break open the lock of the shutter of a shop engaged in selling mobile phones. The team apprehended the burglar red handed and recovered the devices used in the crime such as hammer, hacksaw blade, scissors, cutting pliers, latch, a broken lock and a bag from his possession.
It then transpired that he had attempted to break open the ATM booth also. A suo motu case vide BDL PS case no. 17/20 U/S 457/380/511 IPC had been registered and the alleged accused after being arrested was forwarded to the District Session Judge Court with the chargesheet vide Bdl PS CS No. 12/20 dated 11/4/20.
