JAMIRI, May 15:

 

Parliamentary Secretary (PHE & WS) cum local MLA Thrizino-Buragaon, Kumsi Sidisow inaugurated a suspension bridge over river Tenga at Jamiri and Section office cum store of Power Department at Singchung under West Kameng District on May 14 last.

The suspension bridge constructed by RWD Singchung Division was funded under MLADF at a cost of 10 lakh while the section office was constructed at an estimated cost of 30 lakh under SADA scheme.

Addressing the locals at both locations, Kumsi said that people faced hardships in reaching the Jamiri CO Headquarters but the bridge has now reduced the 5KM distance to a mere 500 meters, adding that school students stand to benefit the most.

 

There was no office and store for Junior Engineer and also to monitor the works under the section and to bring the administration at the doorstep the JE (P) Section office will serve the local masses lot, Kumsi said.

ADC Singchung T Pada, local PRI members, HoDS and other officials of both Jamiri and Singchung circles among others were present during the function.
