NIRJULI, Mar 24: A large number of public vandalized the private residence of incumbent MLA 16th Yachuli constituency, Likha Saaya on Sunday evening. The angry public also pelted stones and set alight chairs kept for the meeting.
Reportedly, most of the people were supporters and workers of Saaya who came to attend the public meeting and to listen to their leader. However, most of the supporters were unhappy with the alleged decision of Santa to withdraw from the ensuing elections.
Meanwhile, Police along with Para-Military forces reached the spot and controlled the situation.
This daily couldn’t contact Saaya for his comment on the incident.
