PASIGHAT, Mar 25: In an awareness program conducted by Women Against Social Evils (WASE) at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), GTC on Saturday, the students community pledged voluntarily to say ‘No’ to drugs before the WASE mothers who have been advising children to stay away from drug use which has been ruining lives of many youths in the town.

As per WASE General Secretary, Joya Tasung Moyong, the students headed by Master Karik Jamoh, a class IX student hailing from Riga village under Siang District took the oath along with his student friends.

Informing about the threats received from quarters because of their fight against drugs, WASE however said that they are determined to eradicate drugs and other illicit substance menace from the township and the district.

The team further expressed happiness that many youths are realizing the importance of their fight against intoxicants.
