KHARSANG, Jun 29: The All Changlang District Students’ Union (ACDSU) has lodged an FIR against an individual for using a forged identity to enter Arunachal through the Namchik check gate in Changlang district.
As per the union, the said returnee who is a Chakma refugee used forged/tampered documents to enter Changlang district through the Namchik check gate on June 28 last. However, due to the alertness of the administration, the infiltrator was intercepted and after interrogation, it was revealed that the documents used were tempered.
As per sources, the alleged person managed to cross the Dirak check gate in Namsai without any hurdle but the team deployed in the Namchik gate found his documents to be suspicious. It further transpired that the person has three names in three different documents- Swapan  Dashi Chakma, Nilu Chakma and  Rahul Chakma.
After interrogation, the person accepted that he had tempered the documents (Aadhaar Card) of his brother-in-law of Udaipur-II Village in Changlang district.  Furthermore, his other document issued by the Gaon Bura of Dharampur-II Village has shown his name as Rahul Chakma.
Meanwhile, a case numbering 10/2020 U/S 468/416 IPC has been registered by the police against the person.
