SAGALEE, Dec 4: Hundreds of students from Government Higher Secondary School Sagalee , members of School Development Committee  today joined  the  candlelight march in solidarity with Priyanka Reddy who was raped and murdered recently in Hyderabad.
 Holding candles and placards with  the message “ No Excuses for  Rape & Violence,  Arunachal Against Rape,  Sagalee against Rape , Stand out for Justice '   students  sought justice for the Priyanka Reddy.
“We strongly condemn such heinous crime,” said Vice Chairman SMC, GHSS-Sagalee, Debia Lalum. He also conveyed his message that Arunachal is with the family members of Priyanka and urged the government of India to confer justice to the family members as soon as possible. There should be exemplary punishment against the culprits, so that no such crime is repeated again, he said calling for mindset change to change society.
While condemning the incident and demanding justice for the victim, Nabam Jangrang  a class  12th  girl student  said  ‘ Parents shouldn’t only restrict girls, but they have to teach boys how to respect girls. It’s not about the clothes we wear but it’s the mentality of crooked people who execute such crimes.’
