PASIGHAT, Jul 4: ‘Student Police Cadet’, a flagship programme of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India was inaugurated today by East Siang, SP Prasant Gautam here at Government Model Residential Secondary School.
In his address, the SP informed in detail about the role and function of police, to the first batch of forty students. The flag off ceremony was attended by few police officers and headmaster of the school.
The program aims to make students contribute towards nation building by imparting values. The students were also educated about traffic rules and regulations, crimes etc. Newsdesk
