BOLENG, Aug 13: MLA Ojing Tasing today graced the official launch of Student Police Cadet for Siang District as the chief guest at Boleng.
The programme which was organised by Siang District Police in collaboration with District Administration was attended by Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk as the guest of honour, SP Kushal Pal Singh, DDSE T Tatak among others.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA urged the student cadets to work for the betterment of society and towards protection of the environment. He advised them to inculcate discipline and abide by the laws.
Acknowledging the importance of these student cadets in positively shaping young minds, the Deputy Commissioner exhorted the cadets to be the flag bearers of society.
SP Siang apprised the gathering about the various aspects of SPC.
On the occasion, ASI Tama Talom was felicitated with an appreciation letter and cash award for his dedicated efforts in the search operation for the missing AN 32 Aircraft at Payum circle during the month of June. ID cards were also distributed to all cadets.
