KIMIN, Mar 14: Two staffers of Vivekandra Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Sher, Kimin were arrested on Saturday after a class VI student was mysteriously found hanging in the school's hostel bathroom, police said.
When contacted SP, Papumpare, Jimmy Chiram said that a case has been registered and two persons have been arrested in connection with the case.
Moreover, the SP said that more information can only be disclosed after the investigation is completed.
Meanwhile, in a widely circulated viral video on social media, the body of the deceased was seen with bruises covering his arms, ears and face.
Moreover, the relatives of the victim suspect that the deceased was tortured to death.
A close relative of the deceased, Ngurang Reena also took to social media throwing light on the alleged culture of ragging and harassment to juniors by seniors at the said school.
The relative further alleged that the deceased had made a complaint to the school management about the ragging activities taking place at the campus but despite that, no steps were taken to stop it.
The family members have demanded police to interrogate the management and suspected students and initiate stringent action against those involved in the case.
