ITANAGAR, May 11: Arunachal Pradesh and other two Northeastern states of Manipur and Meghalaya participated in a 3-day training workshop titled ‘Capacity Building for Climate Change Adaptation Proposal & Implementation’ organized by NABARD Consultancy Services(NABCONS) in Bankers’ Institute for Rural Development (BIRD) at Lucknow from May 8-10.
Team Arunachal was represented & lead by the Deputy Director (Env. & CC) & Programme Coordinator (Climate Change) of the state’s Department of Environment & Forests D. Dohu Robin accompanied by Scientist, Horticulture Department Research & Development Siyang Borang, ASCO, Soil & Water Conservation of RWD Department Bhanu Riba and two officials from State Climate Change Cell, Research Scientist (JRF) Rinchin Tsering and Dohu Tapuk.
The training workshop dealt with the topics of preparation of climate change proposals for funding under Green Climate Fund ( GCF) and other adaptation proposals of international funding as per IPCC framework checklist requirements & feasibility options as per National Implementing Entity(NIE) procedures. Guidelines under NAPCC schemes were also discussed in the training
All successful participants were awarded certificates at the end of the training.
