ITANAGAR, May 7: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), has vehemently condemned the recent rape incidents where a 70-year old woman at Higi Bagra, Aalo and a 12-year old disabled minor girl at Peri Village, Kamba circle in West Siang were the victims.
In a telephonic conversation with the SP Aalo, APSCW was informed that the alleged culprits in both the cases have been arrested. Expressing deep anguish over the occurrence of such incidents, the Commission had demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits and requested the police to expedite the investigation, so that justice may be delivered to the victims and their families.
Further, the APSCW has requested people from all sections of society to co-operate with the police for early and smooth investigation of the cases. APSCW Press Release
