ITANAGAR, May 9:The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women participated in the 2-day national level meeting of all the State Commissions organised by the National Commission for Women in the national capital on May 8-9.
APSCW was represented by member secretary Yame Higio and member Rosy Taba.
The meeting mainly focused on the action taken on women hostel, skill development programmes, development of women entrepreneurship and condition of women in jails in each state. The programme also included sessions on cyber crime, patriarchy and masculinity, gender etc.
The APSCW team presented the work undertaken by them in the field of women and children betterment. It also highlighted that the state of Arunachal is still in developing stage and with proper plan and implementation under the state government it will do better work for women and children.
