NAMSAI, May 9:Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein today attended the district executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Namsai district unit held at the Town Club.

Addressing the gathering of party workers, Mein spoke on the 'Vision for development of Arunachal Pradesh and Namsai district'. He informed that under the BJP lead union and state government, Arunachal Pradesh was witnessing betterment in connectivity which will surely usher in a new phase of development and welfare for the people.

‘For the past 70 years we could never dream of rail connectivity but BJP led government has turned it into a reality,’ he said.

Mein also asserted that this year's budget was historic and was appreciated by all sections as it was practical and aimed towards financial reforms and for the good of all sectors.

While advocating for introduction of contract farming in the state, he said that Namsai district which has a large land bank ought to turn it into farms for economic sustainability.

Chow Tewa Mein, Parliamentary Secretary cum MLA 46-Chongkham AC in his address commended the party workers for enthusiastically building the party in the district and said that all should work collectively to reap the benefits from the BJP lead government's development initiatives.   

Chow Zingnu Namchoom, Parliamentary Secretary cum MLA 47-Namsai AC suggested for holding the party meeting at various locations in the district so that the call of BJP reaches everywhere. 

Doni Nich, Zilla Prabhari gave a brief outline of the history of the BJP.

Earlier two resolutions which were passed in the national executive meeting held at Bhubaneshwar were introduced and passed. The Mandal Presidents of the three assembly constituencies of the district submitted their up to date reports of 2017 to the district president Chow Sujana Namchoom.
