ITANAGAR, May 21: Sports & Youth Affairs Minister, Mama Natung felicitated the winners of the 1st online National Wushu Championship held from May 15-20. Total of seven players under All Arunachal Wushu Association (AAWA) participated in the online event.
State palyers won  three gold, two silver and one bronze in the championship, informed President AAWA, Toko Teki. Nyeman Wangsu won three gold medals in Daoshu, Gunshu & Chanquan category, whereas Mepung Lamgu won Bronze in Taijiquan and Silver in Taijijan section and Toku Apung won silver in the NanQuan championship. Appreciating the achievers, Minister Mama Natung stated ‘It’s a great initiative by the Ministry of Sports by conducting the online championship in view of the ongoing pandemic. Despite the lockdown and pandemic, our players participated and brought laurel to the state by winning medals.'

He further advised the players to continue their effort by maintaining the SOPs of COVID-19.
