ITANAGAR, May 6: Daily  and  alternative APST bus services to resume from May 7, informed  General Manager, Arunachal Pradesh State Transport  Abu Tayeng. The GM visited  the Inter State Bus Terminal to take stock of the preparedness by the department for the daily services after relaxation in the lockdown.
General Manager informed that all tickets will be available only online except for few rural areas. Wearing a mask and social distancing would be mandatory at the ISBT and inside the bus during the journey. Passengers have to come early to the ISBT as they have to go through proper screening and sanitization before boarding the respective buses, Tayeng added.
'Passengers are requested to check the facebook page for daily updates of the buses and for the tickets one has to log in through the website.'
The department has also made  arrangement for the passengers from Itanagar to reach the ISBT.
When asked about repeated complaints about online bookings, GM clarified that in the fourth phase of online booking, 62,000 people logged-in to the website in just 36 hour resulting in huge traffic and delayed response to the bookings.
On 30th April last, we have provided 57 buses, 6 xylos and today we have provided at least  10 buses. This proves that people are booking frequently through online and  there is no any troubles, indeed online booking has made easy for the people to book their journey during this lockdown, stated GM-APST
