ITANAGAR, Jan 25: In a proud moment for the state, two Deputy Inspector General of Police, IPS, Kime Kaming and Khrimey Norbu Prem, PHQ Itanagar have been selected to receive the president police medal in recognition of their distinguished service on the eve of 70th republic day at New,Delhi.
Announcing this is an official release, Under-secretary, (PMA Cell), Ministry of Home Affairs, SBK Singh stated that “in view of their performance and exemplary works rendered by the two IPS officers, the central government has decided to confer them with the awards.
Born on June 25, 1967, at Ziro, Kaming joined Arunachal Pradesh Police service(APPS) as a direct DySP in February 1992 and inducted to Indian Police service in 2011 (AGMUT 2003).
After completion of basic training, he served state police in various capacities and presently posted as DIGP (HQ), PHQ, Itanagar. He also served Delhi Police for 6 years and received lots of appreciation from seniors.
Meanwhile, recruited as DySP on February 1992 in Arunachal Pradesh Police Service, IPS, Pema Norbu Khrimey,a
a native of Rupa, West Kameng District was inducted to Indian Police service in 2014. Khrimey is an AGMUT 2004 cadre and delivered outstanding 26 years of service.
In recognition of his distinguished service, Khrimey was earlier conferred with Silver Medal by the state government on the occasion of Independence Day 2012 and with a gold medal on Republic Day 2016.
