3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Jan 5: The state contingent comprising of 66 members (51 players, Officials 15) headed by Tadar Appa, Director (Sports) as Chef-de-Mission is all set to leave for Pune, Maharashtra to participate in the Khelo India Youth Games 2019 scheduled to be held from January 9-20 next.
Competitions will be held in 18 sports disciplines for Under-17 & Under-21 (boys & girls) age category. Arunachal Pradesh is participating only in 7 disciplines viz: archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, judo, weightlifting and wrestling.
26 athletes have directly qualified from National School Games/National Championships conducted by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) & National Federations while 25 Athletes have been considered by the Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC), KIYG under wild card entry, stated a release.
