ITANAGAR, Sep 11: The state-level advocacy workshop on skilling activities was held today at the state banquet hall, here under the aegis of National Skill Development Agency, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with Arunachal Skill Development Mission.
The resource persons from the NSDC, Vasundhara Bhargava, Rakhee Gorewal, Zimik, and Gagan Preet Kaur while participating in the day-long programme spoke at length on important topics viz. skilling initiatives by MSDE, introduction of NSDA, functions of NSDA, role of state and inclusion of state-specific job roles in PMKVY and other themes selected for the workshop eloquently.
They enlightened the huge gathering on various facets of skill development activities through power-point presentations. The resource persons were all praise for the state skill development and entrepreneurship department for organizing the workshop successfully.
The representatives from the SSC Sahsh Kumar and Pinaki Sankar Deb also participated in the deliberation. They assured all support from their side and requested the NSDA to work with them in close coordination.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department Subu Tabin told the participants that skill development was a flagship programme on a mission mode that catered to every individual of the state. He told them that skilling the youth of the state in various trades in order to make them employable was one of the primary objectives of his department and urged upon the participants from ITIs to take full advantage of the workshop which was being conducted by subject experts who had loads of experience in the field.
The Director threw light on the initiatives undertaken by the state government vis-à-vis skill development through a power-point presentation. While underscoring the importance of skill development among the youth to enable them to earn their livelihood, Tabin highlighted the overall scenario of skill deployment activities of the country and the state.
During the technical session, the resource persons actively participated and put across their learned views to the young participants from ITIs.
