ITANAGAR, Jan 9: The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly today adopted the redesigned logo consisting of the National Emblem and the State flower— the Foxtail Orchid ( Rhynchostylis Retusa). The amended logo was presented in the floor of the House on January 7 to be adopted during the ongoing session.
The APLA is a distinct, independent and key institution of the democratic set up. By considering its dignity and status of Legislative Assembly it has been felt necessary to redesign a distinctive and meaningful logo. Therefore, existing logo of APLA has been redesigned and amended suitably, which reflect the distinct identity and culture of the state, a release stated.
The symbol of National Emblem signifies federal system of Indian Constitution, the State flower represents the State of Arunachal Pradesh and its people and culture as a whole and the Blue colour denotes the autonomy of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Secretariat, it said. Speaker Media Cell
