ITANAGAR, May 28:On the occasion of completion of four years of the BJP in the Centre and two years in the state, Minister cum Govt Spokesperson, Bamang Felix and Spokesperson BJP, RK Khrimey held a joint press conference highlighting the achievements of the state government and the central government today.
Briefing news persons, Felix said that within a very short period of two years the state government has achieved high level of development. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the state government has also carried out tremendous work in last 21 months.
‘We held 25 cabinet sittings, took 311 important decisions in last 21 months for the welfare of the state and its people,’ said Felix while addressing the media at civil secretariat.
Highlighting the quantum leap in the revenue generation of the state, he said ‘Not only landmark decisions on Greenfield Airport, Right of way for telecom, approval for raising of upper age limit for competitive examinations and many other were taken in the last Cabinet meeting. Policy reforms like Arunachal Pradesh Land Settlement and Record Amendments Bill 2018 has been passed. Downward revision of stamp duty rates on registration for mortgage of land, introduced Arunachal Pradesh Money lending Bill 2018 etc. were passed. Various governmental reforms have also been initiated by this government.’
Besides the state government has determined to develop 60 villages from 60 constituencies into Model village each year and at least 10 new buses exclusively for women will be introduced soon, he added.
‘Recently the state government also submitted Nabam Rebia Committee report to the Centre for recommendation of Greenfield Airport at Hollongi, enhancement of retirement age as well as relaxation of age in competitive examination, changes in Land Possession Certificate for ease of doing business and also introduced Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for transparency,’ added Felix.
When asked about exact fund allocated to Arunachal Pradesh in last four years by the Centre, Felix replied that he can only answer after verifying with concern departments.
While responding to AAPSU’s statement slamming the Smart Classroom project, Felix clarified that the scheme is on experimental basis. ‘We have introduced smart classes in 717 schools last year and has plan to connect 800 more schools with smart class tools this year,’ he added.
Earlier, Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party (State) RK Khirmey briefed the media on various projects and schemes launched by the state government in last four years quoting that more than 100 schemes have been introduced so far.
