BJP Arunachal condemns Opposition for blocking Women’s Reservation Bill
ITANAGAR, Jun 16: Stating that the state government is giving less importance to the local APCS cadre officers by disallowing them postings in responsible departments, the All Arunachal Contractors’ Welfare Association (AACWA) has urged the Pema Khandu-led BJP government to bring democratic qualities in governance.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, AACWA said that instead of running the government as ‘Team Arunachal’ in a democratic way, there is dictatorship with power vested on and exercised by a few IAS officers from the Civil Secretariat. Citing the recent transfer order, the association said that while many local APCS officers were posted at the Civil Secretariat in less-important departments, 5-6 departments are being run under single IAS officer(s) which is slowing the movement of files and consequently the state’s development.
The association has questioned the state government’s stand on keeping faith exclusively on some IAS officers, adding that a few of them purportedly have a secret agenda to reserve all business scopes to the contractors and suppliers from outside through GeM. The release further stated that deprivation of the locals would lead to more unemployment problems in the state.
AACWA has also urged the state government to release the funds against Central Sponsorship Schemes (CSS) immediately, underscoring that the delay is hampering the progress of the projects. AACWA PR
