PASIGHAT, Oct 31: AP State Food Commission (APSFC)  reviewed  the progress and status of various schemes implemented  by various departments in the districts of East Siang, Siang and Lower Siang on Wednesday at Siang Guest House. The meeting was chaired by ADC (Hq) cum DGRO, East Siang, Taddo Borang.
Member, APSFC, Nanom Jamoh, highlighted the vital role of various government departments as important stakeholders in  the  effective and efficient implementation of the National Food Security Act 2013 in the state, so as to  reach the target beneficiaries.
Member APSFC, Rillang Chege, also called for selection of genuine beneficiaries as per guidelines. He also called for coordination for proper implementation of the schemes for the implementation of the National Food Security Act.
ADC Taddo Borang also stressed for monitoring of the supply of food materials by the Administrative Officers in all blocks and Sub-Divisions in their respective juirisdictions on regular interval.
Earlier, DDSE, J. Yirang, in his PPT highlighted the implementation of Mid-Day Meals in 114 Schools in East Siang. He highlighted on the introduction of Centralized Kitchens, training provided to cooks and helpers on hygienic cooking and meal preparation, activities like kitchen gardening within school compounds. DDSEs of Siang & Lower Siang, also highlighted on the implementation of Mid day meal in their respective districts.
DFSCO, Lower Siang, apprised on the need for FCI Godowns in Likabali and Gensi  to address storage issues and smooth functioning of the supply department. DFCSO, Siang District, also highlighted on staff shortage affecting service delivery.

Deputy Director In Charge ,ICDS, Bahi Koyu, Lower Siang, in his PPT informed the number of beneficiaries under various projects in Likabali, Gensi, Ramle-Banggo(Nari), Pangin and Riga. The details and issues faced in the implementation of SNP food items.
The meeting was also participated by the CDPOs of Pasighat, Gensi, Nari along with officials of Pasighat and Likabali ICDS Projects. DIPRO
