SEPPA, Jun 20: The East Kameng Social Welfare & Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO) on Saturday felicitated eight candidates from East Kameng district who cleared the recently concluded Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) here at Nyidar Namlo, Bazarline.
The candidates were Ritu Tawe, Rongni Bagang, Shankar Bagang, Metung Taku, Jina Bagang, Mekori Dodum, Happy Sonam and Rishi Langdo.
EKSWCO Chairman Dahey Sangno while motivating the achievers said: “There will be various challenges in the days to come. Don't work to impress others and compromise, but keep in mind the larger interests of the people and the district,” also appealing them not to get discouraged by the negative forces and fall under any social or organisational pressure.
He exhorted the district’s youths to go all-out to crack the UPSC examinations since there is an urgent need for more state-produced IAS officers. Sangno, who cleared the APPSCCE in 2003 also shared his experiences as an officer at various levels.
Sharing his experience and struggle to pass the prestigious state civil service exam, one of the successful candidates Shankar Bagang advised the future aspirants from the district to be dedicated in their studies, adding that it is not necessary to be an academic topper to crack the competitive exams.
"I was an average student in my school days and it is only through utmost dedication, hard work and well-planned preparation I succeeded," he said. Rest of the achievers also shared their preparation methodologies and thanked the EKSWCO, NES and the East Kameng District Administration for their support during their preparations. Earlier, the parents of the achievers also highlighted their roles during the crucial preparation days.
Minister Mama Natung, MLAs Tapuk Taku, Hayeng Mangfi and Guruk Pordung who were supposed to attend the programme could not turn up due to a road blockade at Hoj and other reasons. However, the four legislators of the district have congratulated the achievers through letters and wished them good luck in all their future endeavours.
